A visual identity created for the Future of DefenceTech,
an event hosted by The Precinct exploring the technologies
shaping the future of defence and national security.

The challenge was to create a visual language that encouraged curiosity around a complex and often controversial topic without relying on fear-driven narratives. Instead, the event was positioned as an opportunity to better understand defence technology,
its applications and its role in shaping the future.

The concept centres on the idea of looking towards the horizon. Inspired by the moment when fog begins to lift and distant forms become clearer, the identity reflects a process of discovery, understanding and seeing beyond assumptions. A custom icon,
derived from the letter "D" in defence, is paired with counterchanged typography to create a sense of emerging visibility.

Topographical linework and a restrained green palette references mapping and navigation while introduces a calm and considered tone. The result is a visual identity that feels forward-looking and approachable, helping to demystify a topic often viewed through
a more intimidating lens.
